Robert Yin - Photography
Beginning in 1959 in the Philippines, Robert Yin has taken underwater photography from a hobby to a life-long professional career with extensive publication in books and magazines. His most recent projects include a series of twenty children's books "Marine Life for Young Readers" published by Dominie Press.
Robert has invested more than forty years photographing the magnificent coral reefs of the tropical Pacific. His publication credits include Discovery, Skin Diver and National Geographic, a cofee-table book, "Beneath the Philippine Seas", and exhibittions at Scripps Institute of Oceanography, Long Beach Aquarium and Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Years of diving experience have convinced Robert of the extreme fragility of the coral reefs, and of the urgent need to protect them. Plastic pollution and ecologically unsound fishing practices continue in many areas of the world. Although he feels it may be too late to save many of the worlds reefs, Robert urges all of us to join him in promoting global marine conservation efforts.
