Richard Herrmann - Photography
Richard Herrmann is a full-time photographer who uses his background in diving, fishing and environmental science to translate his love of plants and animals into stunning, award-winning photographs. His photographs span a broad spectrum of subjects from the world of nature and animals.
Richard has a strong background in biology and environmental science and a degree in Anthropology. He has traveled extensively and worked within the scientific community. Richard was chosen as staff still photographer for the 1990 "Jacques Cousteau's Rediscovery of the World" Expedition aboard the Calypso.
Richard's publication credits and clients include: National Geographic Books, BBC Wildlife, Outside, Time, Sierra Club Calendars, National Wildlife, Sport Fishing, Salt Water Sportsman, Ranger Rick, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Disney Corp., and many others. His awards include a first prize at the world's most prestigious nature photographic competition, the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
