"Canopy"

A canopy of life fills American waters in a delicate balance between us and powerful seas. A large bloom of moon jellies, known as a smack, pulsated with life in Alaskan waters. The web of life supported in our oceans is more intricate than we know and full with scenes like these moon jellies. I wish for people to see these beautiful and delicate creatures and know that all animals serve meaning in our ecosystem.

Jennifer Idol is the first woman to dive 50 states and author of An American Immersion. She’s a PADI Ambassadiver (2017 and 2018), member of the Ocean Artist’s Society and has earned 29 certifications throughout 24 years of diving.
